Kidde Graviner MK6 Oil Mist Detection System
This product of the Kidde Graviner series is an analogue addressable system. The Graviner MK6 Oil Mist Detector is capable of monitoring up to 64 Detector heads fitted on up to 8 engines. The best feature of the product is that it can be done without sample pipes and with a minimum amount of cabling. Each Detector head is a stand-alone device and monitors a single crank space.
The Graviner MK6 gathers oil mist density data and converts it to a digital signal for transmission via data cable to the control unit. The control unit can be configured to monitor from one to eight engines.
In this, the address of a detector is identified and associated with the appropriate engine. The control unit sets its deviation levels, average alarm levels, and alarm output requirements.

The Graviner MK7 is an auto addressed Oil Mist Detector. It can monitor up to 10 Detectors heads per control unit, on up to 10 control units, where each of the detector heads monitors a single crank space. To monitor 1 to 10 Detectors an engine mounted control unit can be configured. The control unit sets all alarm levels and alarm output as per the requirements, or from the optional display unit.
The signal from each detector can be seen from the touch screen display, which shows and indicates the oil mist level for each engine. When there is an alarm, the Graviner MK7 Display shows the oil mist signals for the correct engine. Each connected detector to an engine can be displayed on demand, and displayed automatically under alarm conditions.
